Getting started
Ace the Exam was originally when one of our co-founders was sitting the GSSE and quickly realised that, other than "The Bank" spreadsheet, there were no online question banks specifically for the GSSE exam. Once his exam was out the way, we set about creating the best online question bank we could, to help other junior doctors get through this tricky exam.
"When I came to sit the GSSE I presumed I would just use an online bank, like PasTest or OnExamination, like I had when I sat the MRCS in the UK. I was surprised (and upset) to find that there was nothing online that I could use! I set about writing some practice questions at that time and Ace The Exam grew from there."
Since then
We started with the Generic Surgical Sciences Exam (GSSE) and, as Ace The Exam grew, we released question banks for the ACEM, RACP and AMC exams.
Most recently we've developed the Nail Orthopaedics question bank for the FRCS orthopaedic examinations in the U.K. This is also highly relevant to the Orthopaedic Principles and Basic Sciences and FRACS Orthopaedics exams in Australasia.
